While most people are aware of and understand acute illnesses, like a cold or flu, few people truly understand what it's like to live with a chronic illness. In fairness, it's difficult to understand it unless you live with it every day. Unfortunately, that also means that when you're diagnosed with a chronic illness, information about what to expect can be hard to come by. I've lived with a chronic illness for years, and I decided that sharing my story might help other people.
